Dear all,

Please join the Sustainability Education Research Institute (SERI) for our first Talking Sustainability event of the winter term, on February 5th, 3PM CST (Room 1235, College of Education).

We are hosting Dr. Joseph A. Henderson from the MADE CLEAR Project, University of Delaware. Dr. Henderson will be sharing a talk entitled, "Sociocultural and Geographic Issues in Climate Change Education Research, Practice, and Policy."

Presented online via webex and with refreshments at SERI, Dr. Henderson will discuss the nuances of climate change education in the United States (see attached poster for more details).

RCE Facilitation Group (RFG) Meeting

Dear RCE Saskatchewan Colleagues,

We will be having an RCE Facilitation Group meeting following the talk by Helen Angelakis of RCE Greater Western Sydney (Australia) in room ED 114 at the University of Regina. All are welcome to stay. If you have an agenda item for that meeting, please forward it to Lyle and I by Wednesday, October 28, so we can add it to the agenda (or we can also add items at the start of the meeting). Helen will be also joining us for the RCE Facilitation Group Meeting and can provide insights from her RCE in Australia. Also, this will also be an opportunity for you to meet our RCE Recognition Event Coordinator for the upcoming Recognition Event in 2015, Carissa Robb, and engage in some preliminary discussions about our event on May 4 next year in Fort Qu'Appelle.

Helen Angelakis, RCE GWS Talk: "Empowering and mobilising regional youth for sustainability"

Dear RCE Saskatchewan Colleagues,

We are delighted to be able to announce that Helen Angelakis, of RCE Greater Western Sydney, Australia, will be visiting the University of Regina on Friday, October 30th. She will be giving the following talk:

"Empowering and mobilising regional youth for sustainability"

The talk will begin at 1:00 pm in the Education Building room 114 (ED 114) at the University of Regina. Helen is a Sustainability Coordinator for the Office of Sustainability of Western Sydney University. A short biography is included at the end of this message.

Following the talk at 2:00 pm we will be having an RCE Facilitation Group meeting in the same room. All are welcome to stay. If you have an agenda item for that meeting, please forward it to Lyle and I by Wednesday, October 28, so we can add it to the agenda (or we can also add items at the start of the meeting).
