National Energy Strategy Day

The Council of Canadians are planning a day nationally focusing on the need for a National Energy Strategy on February 2nd which relates to some very important focuses here in Saskatchewan, namely uranium/nuclear activities, tar sands and climate change.

If anyone is interested in being involved in some of the planning, has some ideas or would like further information, please contact Jim Elliott (caar@accesscomm.ca).

SEdA (Sustainability and Education Academy): Feb and Nov, 2008

Please see attached a brochure for the Sustainability and Education Academy that was recently circulated by Susan Kingsbury of Environment Canada. Events are taking place on February 24-27 in Toronto and November 16-19 in Winnipeg in 2008 as outlined in the brochure.--Roger

Short Bio of Kim Sare

Kim Sare is the Sustainable Communities Coordinator for the City of Regina where she has worked for nearly 10 years after completely her degree at the University of Waterloo. Her position supports her involvement in various climate change initiatives within the corporation as well as with the public, participation with the Saskatchewan Education for Sustainable Development Network and the Sask. RCE, and coordination of the City's partnership role with Communities of Tomorrow.
