RCE SK Report to International RCE Conference, Penang, Malaysia, August 7-8, 2007

Dear RCE Saskatchewan Members and Supporters: Please find attached the report of our Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCE Saskatchewan) to the UN Conference in Penang, Malaysia on August 7-8, 2007. The report is in both PDF and Word formats. The report documents our RCE Saskatchewan activities since our official designation on March 1 and 2 of this year. I would especially like to thank all of those who contributed material for the report including local ESD projects lead by RCE members as well as each of our 6 ESD issue area working groups. Without your help this collaborative document would not be possible. It will hopefully go a long way in showcasing our regional ESD work at a global level to our fellow RCEs as well as to the UN University. I also want to especially thank Jennifer Fix and Lyle Benko for helping to put together and edit the material we received into the document template of the UN University. As we will need to annually submit this form, we have ample opportunity for reporting on further regional ESD initiatives in the future. Thank you to everyone for all of your efforts in providing material for the RCE Saskatchewan report. Sincerely, Roger Petry, Co-coordinator, RCE Saskatchewan Facilitation Group

Hi Roger:

I hope that you had a safe two days of travel to Penang. I already received a message from Harold Glasser (U.N. RCE Grand Rapids) who is looking forward to meeting you and doing the follow-up to our discussions while we were both in New York in May at the U.N headquarters.

I look forward to hearing how the sessions and our presentations go over the next few days!

All the best Roger :)
