Dear Friends,

RE: SPIRITUALITY AND NATURE

See attached invitation to a meeting on July 29, 2007, at Craik, SK

Three Rivers Trail Association (TRTA), Craik, SK and Multi-Faith Saskatchewan Inc. are co-sponsoring an out-door meditative meeting at a remote site over-looking the Arm River Valley and Arm Lake (4 km from Craik). TRTA has had spirituality as part of its mandate since forming in 1999 (see www.craik/trta). The latest TRTA newsletter has an article on spiritual geography (www.criak.ca/trta/06fallnews.pdf) . More information on Multi-Faith Saskatoon can be found at www.mfsaskatoon.com.

Multi-Faith Saskatoon Inc. and Eco-Action SK (Saskatoon Road Map 2020) co-sponsored a public meeting at a Mennonite Church in Saskatoon in April to discuss what Faith Groups could do to motivate the public to ‘Go-Green’. One recurring theme was that urban people need more contact with ‘nature’. Two TRTA members were at that meeting and began planning an event with reps from Multi-Faith Saskatchewan Inc.

TRTA and associates have identified several sacred sites along the Qu’Appelle and Arm River valleys, generally from Craik to Elbow. Some maps are available showing how to get to these sites by side roads (see NewsLetters) and GPS co-ordinates will soon be published. Our aboriginal brothers have many stories about the land that they could tell us about.

The attached poster for the event gives more details and a map to the Arm Lake look-out. Our contact phone numbers are given there.

Ed Spratt, Chair of TRTA
Krishan Kapila, President of Multi-Faith Saskatchewan
