Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council Spring 2012 Forum, April 19-20, Regina

Good morning, just a reminder about our Spring 2012 Forum, "Bringing About a Titanic Shift", on April 19 and 20 at the Travelodge Hotel in Regina.  Cut-off for hotel reservations is March 26 and can be made at (306) 586-3443.   This spring's forum features:

  • keynote speaker Helen Spiegelman, speaking on "Making the Titanic Shift to Extended Producer Responsibility"
  • a workshop on the Art & Science of On-Line Markting Strategy
  • a tour of the RCMP training academy and food waste composting program
  • sessions on Household Hazardous Waste, Agricultural Plastics, Product Stewardship, and more.
  • Captain John Smith (aka Wayne MacDonald, U of A) describing the events on that fateful night 100 years ago when the unthinkable happened to the unsinkable. Wayne was a long-time friend of one of Titanic's survivors, and has collected memorabilia for 58 years, and has some fascinating stories to tell of this terrible disaster.
