I thought I would forward these materials sent from RCE B.C. in response to our recent Canadian RCE Conference Call.--Roger
Hi again,
Great to hear what everyone is working on, and I look forward to connecting further regarding various projects.
Just to follow up regarding the K-12 curriculum work done by the BC Working Group (which is essentially the members of the BC RCE) in conjunction with the BC Ministry of Education, here are links to the two main projects:
The ELE Guide produced by David Zandvliet:

The Curriculum Mapping Project carried out by Patrick Robertson:
http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/environment_ed/ele_curricmaps.htm
From these pages, you can also link to other information/projects that various members and partners have been working on with the Ministry.
And also, in regards to awards presented to community members, BC Hydro (Mary Ferguson) and Science World have been working with BC schools to promote and present the BC Green Games for the past several years. This is awarded to schools with the best greening projects undertaken by youth groups. A great way to educate kids and get them actively involved.
Thanks again for all the information that was provided to me by the other RCEs over the last week!
Best wishes,
David Samis
