Please see below the official invitation to the 5th International RCE Conference in Curitiba, Brazil in May of this year. I have appended all 5 attachments that accompanied this UN University e-mail to the RCE Facilitation Group Meeting Event posting as this item is to be discussed at our meeting (on Monday, March 1). If you plan to attend or are interested in attending this 5th RCE Conference, please let Lyle or I know as soon as possible. Unfortunately the RCE does not have specific funds for participation this year and we encourage each individual to seek sponsorship from their respective organizations.

The United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies is now pleased to invite you and/ or representatives of your RCE to the 5th International RCE Conference 2010 from 18-20 May 2010 in Curitiba, Brazil. It will be hosted by RCE Curitiba back to back with the ESD International Conference.

We strongly encourage the participation of at least one representative from each RCE, as well as those candidates RCEs, in particular those who are planning on submitting an application this year. 

Attached please find the invitation letter, tentative programme, registration form, pre-conference survey and additional information sheet. Early registration is highly recommended and the deadlines for registration are as follows:

12 March – Registration with the request to stay at the pre-reserved accommodations by UNU-IAS

12 March – Request for financial support from UNU-IAS

2 April – Final date for registration for those who do not need pre-reserved accommodation or financial support.
