Finding SOLE Food in Saskatchewan (Presentation), June 2, Regina

Finding SOLE Food in Saskatchewan   Presenter: Daryl Hepting When:       Thursday, June 2 Place:        Gallery Building Room 106, Lifelong Learning Centre (2201 College Ave at Cornwall St), Regina Time:         12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Course fee: $5.00 (payable at the door)   Should Saskatchewan farms grow food primarily for export? Why not grow healthy, safe food to feed families close by, say no further than 50 miles away? SOLE (Sustainable Organic Local Ethical) tries to address these and other issues and is committed to the production of high quality, ethically grown foods. The quality of food sent to market and the distance food travels before consumption is a major concern for our food system, our environment and our health. This presentation will explore these issues as well as provide information on where you can find SOLE food in Saskatchewan.   Reminder!  Make sure to attend this week's noon hour forum, The Making of an RCMP Officer, May 26, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.     Lifelong Learning Centre University of Regina Regina, SK   S4S 0A2   Phone   306.585.5816 Fax   306.585.5736 Website
