The City of Moose Jaw, as part of the City’s Green Plan is once again hosting a major sustainability event on February 10 & 11 at SIAST Palliser Campus. The 2012 Green and Sustainable Energy Housing Forum and Fair will feature speakers from Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan and will showcase current trends and examples of how industry, professionals, municipalities, governments, education sectors, groups and individuals can develop and add small to large scale sustainability ideas, practices and concepts to their present surroundings and for future planning.

Please bring your own beverage container for coffee & water. Note: SIAST Parking fees in effect for Friday only $2-5/day or $1/hour. Consider a Green Travel Option for SIAST: Sunningdale Bus Route

· Opening and Welcome (Friday 8:30 a.m.)

· Demonstration of the next generation of sustainable housing and communities in Canada (9:00 a.m. Friday & Saturday 12:45 p.m.)

· Innovation in Housing: Partnerships with industry and education in Alberta (Friday 10:30 a.m. & Saturday 9:00 a.m.)· EQuilibrium™: Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation initiative that is being used for innovative mixed-income, mixed-use community of over 1000 units that features a community thermal energy system for the occupants and services. Regent Park, Toronto (Friday 12:45 p.m. & Saturday 10:30 p.m.)

· Presentation of feasibility study on the development of geothermal neighborhoods in Moose Jaw (Friday 2:45 p.m.)· Builder operator and energy awareness training overviews (Friday 4:00 p.m. & Saturday 10:30 a.m.)

· Seizing Opportunity: Building communities- City of Moose Jaw strategies and the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (Friday 4:00 p.m.)
